On Wednesday April 7th Officer Nick Nuccitelli was recognized by the La Verkin Ctiy council in the City Council meeting:
On December 30, 2020 Officer Nuccitelli was on duty during a call for an overdosed male. The male’s family had called 911 to report their adult son was unconscious and had possibly overdosed on illegal narcotics.
Officer Nuccitelli's swift and competent actions on December 30, 2020 resulted in the man receiving lifesaving assistance through the administration of department issued Naloxone and in so doing, exhibited a high level of professionalism that was shown during a high stress situation. Officer Nuccitelli, your actions are indicative of the caliber of professionalism our department upholds and showed not only our department, but the City of La Verkin, and its citizens , your dedication to the City and the profession of law enforcement.
