SR-9 was recently designated a National Scenic Byway on February 16, 2021 by the U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Zion Scenic Byway travels from the intersection of SR-9 and SR-17 in the City of La Verkin, through the
Towns of Rockville and Springdale, into Zion National Park, culminating at the Park’s East Entrance.
